A new year brings a blank slate for everyone. It’s a chance for all of us to reset, refocus, and re-energize. So, as 2021 begins, it’s time to step back and take a second to think about what you want to get out of it. Maybe you want to explore your hobbies more. Maybe you want to move your body more. Maybe you want to learn more. No matter what your goals are, we have found a few common and helpful ideas that might just give you some inspiration to get started on your brainstorming.
Set (And Stick To) A Budget
If you’re looking to the future, one of the best things you can do for your future self is plan for your finances. Sitting down and looking at your income versus your spending is a great way to set yourself up for success. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy; just a general outline of the things you spend monthly, and what your cap for spending on those things might be. Trust us, this will be extremely helpful in planning for your future.
Cook Something New, Weekly
If you’re wanting to explore your hobbies, and one of those hobbies is cooking, an easy way to branch out and explore that without putting too much pressure on yourself is to try one new dish per week. Pick one weekend day each week and brainstorm a new recipe to try the upcoming week. You can do this on your computer or by looking through a cookbook. Either way, pick just one and let that be your experiment for the week. Taking it one week at a time will keep you interested without burning yourself out.

Schedule Doctors Appointments
Another way to really set yourself up for success is to go ahead and do the thing that we all hate doing; setting up appointments. Pull out your calendars, call up all of your doctors (dentists, eye doctors, everyone) and go ahead and get them in the books in one sweep.
All of these things will make your 2021 go smoothly, which is just what we all need!
