Stay Covered With Ford’s Warranty

2020 Ford F-150

Even though Ford is known for creating very reliable vehicles, it is still important for your car to be covered. Not only is coverage important to have, but it is also good to know what the coverage actually does for you. Between rust, engine recalls, and seat belt defects, Ford warranties are here to help you stay safe and get back on the road. Let’s take a closer look at the warranties Ford has to offer.

Bumper-To-Bumper

This warranty is the shortest and also the most comprehensive limited warranty Ford has to offer. The bumper-to-bumper warranty lasts 36,000 miles or three years, whichever comes first. The warranty essentially works with any vehicle defects that are likely to show up during the first few years. If something breaks between the bumpers of your Ford, and the company is at fault, this is when the bumper-to-bumper warranty would be of help.  Any wear and tear, routine automotive services, and accidents are not covered under this limited warranty.

Powertrain

This warranty covers the most important parts of your Ford and lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The powertrain warranty works with all parts of the vehicle that allows it to run. The warranty coverage works with parts such as the engine, the transmission, and the drivetrain. The powertrain warranty is limited to manufacturing and material defects. This warranty will definitely come in handy if you happen to experience any powertrain issues!

Additional Coverage

Ford’s corrosion warranty lasts for unlimited miles. This warranty protects your Ford from any rust that may damage the body panels or frame of the vehicle. There is also the safety restraint system coverage that lasts for five years or 60,000 miles. This coverage also works with the vehicle’s seat belts if anything were to be defected and needed work. Last but not least, Ford also has 100,000 miles or five year diesel engine coverage that works specifically with Ford diesel vehicles.
